Poem: What If…
When a poem inspires a poem which inspires a third one. I am the third in line. My friend Sakshi Arora, a PhD scholar in English Literature, came back to writing prolific poetry that I know of. She inspired the prolific Priya Patel. Here is the reverse sequence of the poems.
Poem: What If…
What if I become
the words that I string
Will it still make sense
or maketh the same meaningWhat if my footprints
or the ink prints on paper
so that I can be etched
in your memory foreverWhat if I am the permanence
of that little fleeting thought
Like that photograph you took
and you look back a lotWhat if I become
the roses and the candle
Of that pending dinner
that we said we could handleWhat if I am the lyrics
your heart sings in the spring
I am the content to your melody
and together, such joy we bring.~Ashok Subramanian © 2024
Priya’s poem reflects our tango poetry; but she is so versatile that she can be inspired by the variety of other poets like Richard, Chloe, Rosemary, or Sakshi. This one, of course, is inspired by Sakshi.
Poem: We Poem the World
Every now and then,
we ride on the tail-end
of each others words,
dancing around the idea
of creating something new;
giving readers a different view,
or perhaps just continuing
a thought too beautiful
to just let go; like this oneYou and I are not mere words;
we are the collaborations
of a handful of poets,
inspiring a handful more to write
We are the eccentric ones
that trade sleep for poetry
night after endless night
We are friends between a billion skies
and together, we poem the world 🌎 ❤️~Priya
Priya: Sakshi Arora you are such a beautiful inspiration …
Sakshi is so inspiring that she can set off an avalanche of verses.
Poem: You and I
You and I are not mere words
We together make poetry-
which travels through the nuances
of love and life, pain and pleasure;
twirls and dances like lovers
on the beats of our heart
which sings our own lyrical love stories
in an unknown landYou and I are more than two words
We together poem the world. 💗💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨

Hope you all enjoyed the poems. Wish you a great weekend.
Ponder 2023 is on the anvil.
