Poem: THE STORM IS COMING

A pause in the downpour

brings the morning calm

A clear blue sky

Floating fluffy foams

doze of bright sunshine

The soft touch of the breeze

The shiny green leaves

still, and don’t quiver

The raspy voice of ravens

A strong dose of reality

And of course -

the sounds of cars and bikes

Offices and clients won’t wait

Splash of puddles by

noisy, boisterous boys

I brood and ponder

on what words to write

Because the morning calm

is just before the impending storm

As a small drizzle starts

to tease with a faint rainbow

The weatherman just warns-

The Storm is Coming!
