Ah, I want to be them. But I want me to become like that: the perfect and the gentle.

I know a few in my life
Quiet, calm, and without drama
Mellowed and measured
Words spoken with care
Courteous to the point of humility
Classic yet simple
No frills, simple and pressed
It is like that dim white light
Bright enough to study
Dim enough to snooze
The perfect ambiance
For conversation and music
Even laughter is perfect
They are the —
The perfect and the gentle.
And at some point, I wish to be
But today, I have to live with
A bit of drama
A bit of noise
A bit of melancholy
A bit of crash and burn
A little spice, if I may say
There will be a day
I want to be —
Measured and mellow
Perfect and gentle.
