Poem: Sophie’s Choice

Life is not funny. It turns a page and then writes an experience. A lesson. Then turns a page. Choices…like Sophie’s. The ironic part is there is no irony left.

Poem: Sophie’s Choice

Thoughts, words, choices, actions…

and interpretations

I prefer blank pages in my life

Than to write this ten thousand page novel

Aptly titled… now Sophie’s choice

Damned if… and damned if not

Holding the candle yet burning like one

Protoganizing to antagonizing

Just by the turn of a page

How everything looks so different

Every word shines in red

Damned if … and damned if not

No explanations matter –

Because that is how it played out

For what you feel is right

In your perspective… and

I believe in the beholder’s eyes

I broke a promise, I suppose

Of holding on to your peace

All I can do is to say sorry

And turn a page … and wait.
