Of late, as I delve into the mysteries of life and death, I am exploring what matters in between — LOVE. Love is the greatest mystery of life — it is simple, and it is complicated. Here is the first of this series.

Poem: OUR LITTLE LOVE SONG

How would be our little song of love?

Would it be –
Cozy and cuddly, soft and sweet?
Or would be a mournful melancholy
Dipped in a heart-wrenching melody?

Would it be -
A song that we can sing along
Or a background play that
we just listen to on?

Would it be –
A silent pond at the back of our barn
Or a giggling brook that chimes along?

Would it be –
The flowing river
Or the splashy white waterfall
Or the deep, silent pond?

Would it be –
About the butterflies
and the daffodils in the park
Or is it about the sunshine
in the wild green meadows?

Would it be –
Like the thunderstorm in the tropics
Or the icy cold breeze of the Arctic?

Would it be –
A carefully crafted song with rhymes
Or a wistful free verse from our hearts?

I don’t know –
It could be a little song of silence
Of verses never ever written
And the music never ever played.
