Poem: Nature’s Glass
It has been a while since I collaborated with Sarah Polyakov. That delectable artwork, this of hers. Have a look, you will start thinking of writing, well, if not writing, saying something.
I could not resist the taste of nature and love in a wine glass. The artwork by Sarah Polyakov is a visual treat.
So here goes the poem:
Poem: Nature’s Glass
( inspired by Sarah Polyakov‘s artwork)
If I could hold
All that’s good
In a wine glassThe freshness of spring
The warmth of summer
The golden autumn
On the rocks of winter iceThe blue of the skies
The greens of the grass
The purple of the daises
All mashed into a mojitoA drop of your tear
A splash of your smile
A dash of your love
Not shaken but stirredHalf the glass
Full of memories
Of the walks in the meadows
And on the beachHalf the glass
Full of hope
That we shall grow old together
And watch the sun go downA full glass of harmony
A life full of symphony
Brimming with love
Filled with nature’s nurture.
