Poem: Kaleidoscope

Little thoughts burst into colorful hues. Like the little shards inside a kaleidoscope. A little outflow of words leads to this poem.

Poem: Kaleidoscope

A telescope with a shake and a show

A myriad of colors explode in my mind

In silence, because she isn’t big on music

How many variations in colors and hue

In the churn of spring to summer

A smile, a sniggle amid serious work

Rainbow splashes in little shards

But…the real colors slowly show

Deep, dense, and almost devouring

Unspoken words from the eons

Hues now show up in different shades

Yet, against the darkness of the past

The present shines like stars in the night

The yawning gap of the decades

Now distilled into fleeting moments

Like the shifting scenes of magic

Inside the belly of a kaleidoscope.
