Poem: Just Being

--

Happy Mahashivratri. The one night I look forward to.

I am so grateful for just being in this night. Everything else does not matter. Just being is a blessing. I don’t need anything more. Lord Shiva.

Poem: Just Being

Who wants the panacea of time-

When I am seeking timelessness

Who wants the boundaries-

When I seek the limitless

Who knows that love is boundless

Who knows that he is just one-half

The inertness and ignorance

The darkness and silence

The light of wisdom and

The sound of creation

You and me, and everything else

The indeterminate and the infinite

Why should I need to seek

When I am bestowed

With all the blessings of just being

Oh, Lord Shiva.
