Poem: July Rains

As the year grows older, the July rains have a message.

Poem: July Rains

It rains only at midnight
Darkness hides in the raindrops
Empty, wet capsules from heaven
Letting the recent memories go
Even the puddles are dry at dawn
The leaves are washed and green
Azure sky born, at the break of dawn
The footprints and dust of yesterday
Washed away in the midnight rains
The signs from the universe
Perhaps, my insomnia is a gift
Manna from the heavens
Every morning is a new start
Every night, I await the July rains
To wash away the day’s deeds.
