Poem: I Missed My Train
I missed my train. It is another day away to meet you, my love. My ticket is, really, waitlisted for tomorrow. So…here goes the poem.
Poem: I MISSED MY TRAIN
I missed my train today
My train to my heaven
I see this empty track
That runs all the way to you
From where I stand
But…
It’s a day more away from you
That feeling of aching
That remains in me
Stripped naked to the bone
I hear my heartbeat
Aloud in my ribcage
Then that feeling of aching
Well, then a deep sigh
I close my eyes, my love
I can see you within
I was alone… till now
My sighs become deep
As if to breathe it all in
That ache grows and grows
My lungs, bones, and breath
All about to burst
Then…
I see your smile
Your flowing fringes
Your hand brushes them away
There is something in your smile
I can’t and I don’t want to figure
Yet, it brings me back
The ache mellows… slowly
I breathe and I breathe
I am alive, my love
Today…
I missed my train.
Tomorrow…
