I have lived this life before. For a moment, I was noticed as the sun, and I saw the glitters but layers of clouds covered them. Now, I go back to being the sun.

Poem: I have lived this life before

The wind does not carry
your whispers anymore.
I know this world before
I have lived this life
Whoever asks the sun –
how it lived through a day
Burning like a candle wick
setting the evening sky ablaze
Yet, never noticed in the humdrum
Fading into the black
Forgotten through the night

In your eyes though
I have seen the glitter
Of the twinkling stars
But clouds of candor cover
And the stars are distant
My whispers would never reach

The wind does not carry
Your whispers anymore
I know this world before
I have lived this life —
Like the sun, I have to life
Through another day.

“When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”
William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
