Can you relate to this? Sometimes, we get into a rut. Can’t move. Is it fear, laziness, or mere procrastination? Free the mind, take the flight.

Poem: FRIGHT OF FLIGHT

A bird that stays in its nest
for more than a week
is a furniture of its tree

The days it was fed
Juicy worms and pieces of meat
and its wings now bigger and wider

The blue sky beckons
as the white sponges float
above which it must sour

The mild breeze titillates
It blows its weather slightly
Yet the will is not strong enough

Mountains in the distance
They could be below its feet
Which, hold to the nest firm

Even wings feel heavy
If the mind isn’t free
One can’t tell the bird
from the tree

A little walk and a few flaps
Then a plunge into the air
is all it takes…
