Poem: Finally, I write

A week is a long break. So, a comeback piece.

Poem: Finally, I write

Finally, I write
From the vacuum of my mind
A sigh escaping into the universe
Expanding the nostrils in a rush

Finally, I write
In a hurry to get into the realm
Where poets and artists wander
Their work reminds me of the lost days

Finally, I write
For it is the peace I seek
Seeing my words form the verses
Like the trees escaping the confines of a seed

Finally, I write
My fingers dance on the keyboard
Filling the vacant screen with words
That you will see in a moment

Finally, I write
My soul screams in elation
Freedom from the frivolous
Discovering the meaning here

Finally, I write
The blue stain of the ink
Washed away by the autumn rains
Now covered with the first snow

Finally, I write
A word and then one more
And the space in between
Together, they finally make sense.
