Poem: DEPTH OF LOVE

I did not realize
How shallow I was
till I lost myself
in the bottomless depths
of your boundless love.

Like that little ray of sunshine
Lighting up my dark soul
Like the little green sprout
in the cracks of my heart
Like the warmth of spring
after the prolonged winter chill
Like the first bloom that smiles
after a long wait in the summer
Like that melody of ocean waves
That is music to my being

I did not realize
