Poem: Crimson Butterfly Wings

--

A Triple Haiku Tribute … introducing Poet’s Choice series apart from the Tribute series of Ponder 2024.

Here is the title of the poem she shared. ‘Crimson Butterfly Wings’ by Priya Patel. A verse of rhapsodic transcendence — oscillating between a message of love and the awakening of a poet.

Poems: Crimson Butterfly Wings

Crimson soaked wings
Butterfly trapped in me
Rhythmic flutters.

Insect in residence
The flights of our fantasies
My heart is your home.

Crimson walled prison
Bloody chamber of our love
Cozy as a cocoon.

“Tsukiko sits on the floor in the center of the room, wearing a red kimono. A beating crimson heart in the pale chamber.”
