Poem: A Dot in the Sky

A nice word felt uncomfortable and weird for you. Ah, the threat of possession. So, I see a dot. A distant dot. I am happy with that.

Poem: A Dot in the Sky

The days are better when you are far away
For I see you as a ‘dot in the sky’
The cool, angelic white of the full moon
The sparkling splendor of the distant shining star
All perfect in the darkness of my life
For all those who look up at the sky
See the miracle dots that they want to be

The silence, solitude, and distance
Examining my heart with a telescopic lens
An astronomer’s delight in vain
The wonders melt into weirdness
For the sounds can’t travel in a vacuum
Happy with just the presence

Just like that ink dot on my paper
Meaningless, yet so full of purport
Perhaps, it makes sense this way
The dot — wordless yet meaningful,
Carrying the wordless whispers to you
For I can’t utter the forbidden words of love.
